MIZUNO LAUNCHES WAVE RIDER 30 - An every day running shoe with nitrogen infused midsole offering exceptional bounce and stability

The Wave Rider 30 represents a significant evolution of Mizuno’s most established daily trainer. Designed to provide a smooth, responsive and stable every day running experience, the shoe combines a full-length Mizuno wave plate for impact reduction alongside the plush Enerzy NXT foam for cushioning. The Wave Rider 30 perfect for those racking up the miles as they build towards a race goal, or for those looking for one shoe that can deliver a reliably comfortable and consistently smooth experience that feels equally at home on long runs and everyday mileage.
At the core of the new model of the Wave Rider, Mizuno’s signature Wave Plate technology has been extended throughout the shoe for the first time in the series, providing full-length distribution of impact forces to enhance stability. Unlike rigid plates found in race shoes, the Mizuno Wave Plate is engineered to balance cushioning and support, making it suitable for everyday training.
The midsole of the Wave Ride 30 introduces Mizuno Enerzy NXT, a nitrogen-infused foam for energy return and cushioning, leading to an energetic yet stable everyday running experience.

About Mizuno
Founded in 1906 by Rihachi Mizuno in Osaka, Japan and inspired by a love of baseball, Mizuno was dedicated to producing the best sports equipment in the world to help athletes be the best they can be. This love of baseball expanded into a myriad of sports and with science paramount to success Mizuno created the world’s first Scientific R&D Laboratory in 1938. This truly established Mizuno as a world leader in sport and this obsessive passion is the very essence of the company today. Mizuno’s company purpose is “To contribute to society through the advancement of sporting goods and the promotion of sport”, this is what gets us up every day and drives us forward, enriching the lives of people through the power of sport. Coinciding with this purpose Mizuno recognised that all corporate activities affect the environment and way back in 1991 ‘Mizuno Crew 21’ was launched as a global sustainability commitment to help protect the planet for future generations.
Almost 120 years after their foundation, Mizuno’s passion for creating product masterpieces has not wavered - and those masterpieces can be found on pitches, courts, diamonds and courses around the world. But it is their love affair with running that is their greatest motivation in 2025. Seeing the legendary “Runbird” logo on streets, trails and treadmills is inspiring Mizuno’s quest to craft the perfect range of running shoes.
