Press Release - OOFOS, GLOBAL LEADER IN RECOVERY FOOTWEAR, THINKS PINK THIS OCTOBER IN SUPPORT OF THE ROYAL MARSDEN CANCER CHARITY

October 2022 – OOFOS, the global leader in recovery footwear, is proud to showcase its continued support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, with our partnership now in its second year after launching in April 2021. In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to show its dedicated support to raising vital funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, this October sees OOFOS launch a dedicated Project Pink capsule collection with 25% of sales going to the Charity.
OOFOS will be increasing its already existing year-round 2% donation and pledging a huge 25% of all net online sales from the Project Pink styles along with 4% of all net online sales of the wider OOFOS collection in support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity during the month of October. This initiative will launch at The London Marathon Expo and demonstrates OOFOS’ continued support to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Since April 2021, an incredible £22,164.62 (as of 25th August 2022) has been raised for the Charity through online sales via the OOFOS UK website.
The raising of vital funds for the charity through sales of both the project pink which features the OOriginal Sport Neon Pink, Ooahh Sport Pink Flex, OOlala Fuschia, eeZee Pink selection and the wider collection, continues the expansion of OOFOS’ Project Pink initiative. Project Pink is a dedicated effort to support cancer charities and raise awareness of breast cancer, which was set up in 2014 in the United States following the diagnosis and later, sad passing of one of the company’s first employees, Duncan Finigan, from the disease.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre whose research into new and improved treatments benefits cancer patients everywhere. The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity funds state-of-the-art equipment, ground-breaking research and the very best patient environments.
Commenting on OOFOS’ continued partnership with the charity and ambitions for the pink collection, Kelly Cundell, Head of International at OOFOS said:
“Our partnership with The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity began in April 2021 and has blossomed ever since. We’re thrilled to have raised over £22,000 for the charity so far, which will help improve the lives of people with cancer at The Royal Marsden and beyond, and are proud to lend our support in the form of shoes to help staff recover and feel better after long shifts on their feet.
Our support for cancer charities is year-round, and October is no exception. We hope that our pink collection - and the goodwill from supporters across the UK throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month - will yield great things for the charity and the fantastic work it does.”
